About the project

CoGdzieJest mobile app – Discover places, events and promotions in your area

We have created a mobile application called WhatWhereIs – a modern location-based tool that helps users discover interesting places, upcoming events and favorable promotions in their area. The app works like a mobile guide: it quickly locates hotels, restaurants, service points and informs about current bargains and events – all in one place, accessible from a smartphone.

Project Objectives

  • Easy discovery of local attractions: allow users to quickly access information about places (hotels, restaurants, services), events and promotions in their area.
  • Increase user engagement: the app is designed to encourage active exploration by notifying users of current events and local opportunities – in real time and conveniently.
  • Security and user comfort: free use, no sharing of data with external parties, data encryption in transmission.

Challenges

  • Combining the three information areas (Places, Events, Promotions) into a cohesive, intuitive application – without creating interface (UX) chaos.
  • Maintain responsiveness and speed – crucial for users who use the app on the go.
  • Users’ trust – The need for security and privacy: no advertising, no data sharing, transparent operating rules.

Scope of work and solutions

  • Modular structure of the application: home screen with three main sections – Places, Events, Promotions – each accessible with a single click from the main menu.
  • Geolocation and filtering system: allowing to search for points of interest (hotels, restaurants, services) and current events and promotions in the user’s area.
  • Data security: using an encrypted connection for data transfer. The application does not share data with other companies and does not track users.
  • Freemium and transparency: the app is free, ad-free and free for users – which emphasizes user experience and builds trust.

Effects and benefits

  • Higher engagement and exploration – users have all the local information they need in one place, which encourages use in different situations (tourism, shopping, events).
  • User trust – transparency and lack of advertising build a positive perception of the app.
  • Marketing potential – easy promotion of local businesses and events, partnership opportunities.
