Revive books through multimedia

We have created the MyMagnet mobile app, which allows users to “revive” the traditional book – through access to multimedia (videos, recordings, graphics, texts) hidden in editions that support MyMagnet technology.

The application acts as a mobile extension of the book: just point the back camera of the smartphone to the website in a book prepared in MyMagnet technology, and the application will automatically detect encoded links and display interactive buttons leading to rich content. It works even in imperfect conditions – crushed cards or a weak Internet connection are not an obstacle.

Objectives Of The Project

Allowing access to hidden media from traditional books, offering users an expanded reading experience.
PSimple and intuitive operation — the user does not have to worry about the arrangement of the camera or the quality of the photo: the application intelligently recognizes the encoded links.
High efficiency even in harsh conditions — the application has been optimized for operation in places with poor range or limited device memory.

Challenges

Recognize encoded links even in difficult physical conditions (e.g. folded cards).
Ensuring smooth operation of the application with a weak Internet connection or limited memory.
Maximum simplification of user interaction: “scan and play with multimedia”.
