Objectives Of The Project
The aim of the project was to transfer the most important information about the life of the university to a convenient, mobile form, providing quick and intuitive access to news, schedule of events and details of recruitment and studies. We wanted to create a tool that will facilitate communication within the academic community and strengthen the image of the university as modern and open to new technologies.
Challenges and results
- Access to information for a diverse audience:
The key challenge was to design an interface that will meet the needs of both current students, those who need quick access to the schedule or announcements, as well as candidates looking for information about recruitment, or graduates and art lovers interested in exhibitions and events. The whole thing had to be intuitive and transparent for each of these groups. - Integration with dynamically changing content:
The project had to take into account the need to integrate the application with the content management systems of the university, so that all news, deadlines and announcements were synchronized on an ongoing basis. This meant the need for a flexible and reliable update system that did not require continuous technical intervention. - Adaptation of content from the website:
One of the main technical challenges was the adaptation of data, entries and information that already existed on the website and which were not originally prepared with the mobile application in mind. This required the development of mechanisms for downloading, processing and appropriate content formatting, so that it is readable and functional on mobile devices, without the need to make changes to the existing system of the website. - Supporting communication and promotion of artistic events:
The application had to effectively promote numerous artistic events, exhibitions and vernissages organized by the Academy of Fine Arts, which required the creation of a visually attractive gallery module and event calendar. The aim was to encourage active participation in the cultural life of the university.
